Introduction

This database has been created from data from manufacturer's and other supplier's published sales information. The Guild of Television Cameramen can not give any warranty that this information is accurate or relevant, the onus is on any user of this data to ensure that it is accurate or relevant to any application. The inclusion of details of any equipment cannot be taken as an endorsement or recommendation by or on behalf of the Guild of Television Cameraman but is intended only as a statement of fact or personal opinion

With the increasing casualisation of the television industry, most cameramen are now freelance. Many who work in multi camera operations are likely to be faced with camera mounting which are unknown to them and for which they will need some basic safety information, such as its maximum load, weight etc. There is even the possibility that some equipment will be of relatively great age, resulting in no one of the crew will have any knowledge of it. This database bring together as much basic information as possible about the equipment you may be faced with to help you work in a safe and efficient manner.

The data in each section is arranged in ascending order of maximum load. The load applied must include anything added to the head/arm etc to ensure safe operation.

What this database is not is a sales pitch, so no information about price or availability is included. The contact details should be accurate for currently available equipment but may not be for the old or obsolete. These contacts will be able to give information about price and availability.

If you find any errors or omissions, you are invited to contact
Dave Lawson by e-mail with any details you have.
