I must admit I'd forgotten the WIS - the weekly information sheet full of useful stuff from people like A(V) to H.T.O.Tel S (they don't make them like that any more!). This one from 1965 supplied by Bill, who says that somewhere he has the second page, telling of the arrival in London of Reg Hutchins, soon to be a famous union figure in the troubles of the late '60's. And completely coincidentally I found this one in an old box the next day...wonder why I saved it?



And in the same box was my copy of "Technical Careers in the Engineering Division", which I had sent off for whilst in the fifth form and read many times in the next two years whilst desperately hoping they'd let me in...

I'm pretty certain that this is Pres B with Judith Chalmers - I wonder who the operator was?

And pay scales, with adjustments by the 18 year old me. Princely sums indeed!
